Bet boost & promo comparison
Compare odds boosts, free bets and promo offers
Convert any promo offer (odds boost, free bet, risk-free bet) into its true EV so you can pick the best one.
What is bet boost math?
Bookmakers offer many types of promos: odds boosts (e.g. 'this match boosted from 2.00 to 2.50'), free bets (e.g. '€10 free bet'), risk-free bets (e.g. 'lose your first bet, get it back'). They all sound different but they all convert to one common metric: EV in money. This calculator does that conversion.

How to use
- 1Pick the promo type (boost, free bet, risk-free).
- 2Enter the relevant values (original/boosted odds, free bet amount, etc).
- 3Get the true EV — and compare across promos.
Example: boost vs free bet
Promo A: 1.80 odds boosted to 2.10 on a €100 stake. EV gain = €100 × (2.10 − 1.80) = €30. Promo B: €30 free bet. Free bets are worth roughly 70-80% of face value because you only keep the winnings (not the stake), so €30 free bet ≈ €22 in real EV. Promo A wins.
When to use
- Choosing between bookmaker welcome offers
- Evaluating daily/weekly odds boost promotions
- Deciding whether a 'risk-free first bet' is actually worth taking
